Taking risks

Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). Faith is associated with risk, because it’s in the unknown, unpredictable places where your faith is exercised. Therefore, without risks it is impossible to please God.

Jesus only said, “Oh you of little faith.” But never, “Oh you of too much faith!” In fact, Jesus honored the individuals in the bible who were persistent and bold in their requests, who displayed more faith than what was socially accepted. Even if people are taken aback by what you declare because it’s so bold, so out of their framework of what is possible, never back down. Great faith often overlooks logic and offends the intellectual mind. Even if what you are contending for hasn’t manifested yet, believe that you have it and you’ll receive it. Jesus honors the heart of one who can take a leap of faith which requires risks, and if we make an honest mistake, there is grace for that. After all, He’s already given us more than we can comprehend..

Hmm… that’s a lot of places. heheh. I love how I somehow moved from east to west. I want to visit these places mainly for missions, personal enrichment, or to absorb culture. While I might not get to visit all these places in a lifetime, I know God’s going to take me various places to meet all kinds of people, and to experience sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. Whether jungles, forests, rural villages, bustling cities, up in da crubs, ghettos, slums, prisons, or palaces, the most glamorous city or the most godforsaken town you can think of… His presence is there. Beauty is there. Just thinking about it excites me.
